Eagles roll past Forest Area

Youngsville picked up their fourth win of the season, knocking off Forest Area 62-40 on Monday.

The Eagles dominated the Fires in the first half, outscoring the visitors 31-14 in the opening two quarters of a game that was never in doubt.

Leading the way for the Eagles was sophomore forward Gage Hendrickson who poured in 22 points.

“Gage is consistently looking for his offense and getting it done on both ends,” said Youngsville coach Jesse DeLoof. “To me, Gage deserves all-region consideration.”

Monday’s fourth win of the season doubled the Eagles win total from last year.

“I was happy with our four seniors tonight,” DeLoof said. “I thought they set the tempo for how the night was going to go. That win was for those four.”

One of those seniors, Noah Myers, added 12 points for Youngsville.

Youngsville will play again today when they host rival Eisenhower.
