Lady Wolverines fall to J’burg

JOHNSONBURG – a slow start and turnovers put Sheffield behind early Tuesday, as a better second half was too little, too late in 59-41 AML Girls Basketball loss to Johnsonburg.

Twenty-nine turnovers, many unforced, put Sheffield in a bind early on. “We gave them a ton of opportunities in the first half, and they capitalized,” said Sheffield coach Brandon Troutman.

Troutman also noted poor defense as a key factor into their road loss. “Our help defense was non existent and it showed, we had a two for one sale on free lay-up’s I suppose, Troutman noted.

The Lady Wolverines turnaround this evening for a county clash at Eisenhower.
