WCCS girls get win over Erie First

Warren County Christian School got a strong performance from Emma Marino on their way to a 35-19 win over visiting Erie First Christian Academy on Monday,

Marino scored a game-high 17 points while grabbing six rebounds and dishing out three assists in the winning effort.

The key to victory for the Lady Lions was defense, according to coach Robert Marrone.

“We played an excellent defensive game,” Marrone said. “We got to them with our press. Our shooting was inconsistent, but the defense dominated.”

McKenna Phelps added eight points for WCCS, Desirae Kerr had four points, five rebounds, and seven assits, Rachel Brenner scored four points and grabbed six rebounds, and Kiara Baker added two points.
