Tidioute girls get exciting overtime win

ERIE – The Tidioute girls are getting used to playing exciting games.

Hanna Divido hit a big three and Kelsey Nuttall a pair of foul shots to help send Thursday’s game against Erie First Christian into overtime, where they Lady Bulldogs prevailed, 39-35.

“Teamwork and patience sealed the victory in overtime,” said Tidioute coach Christy Valentine. “Sloppy passing in the second and third quarters caused us to have to play catch-up.”

Tidioute trailed by seven, 28-21 going into the fourth quarter before rallying to force OT.

“The girls held their composure and played great defense in the fourth quarter and overtime for our second win of the season,” she said.

Nakiesha Krouse had 14 points to lead the scoring charge, while Nuttal grabbbed 11 rebounds and Nettie Durstine 10.
