Bradford boys soccer’s run of D-9 titles ends

BROCKWAY The Bradford boys and girls soccer programs have proven to be fierce rivals with Warren over the years.

On Tuesday, they were both knocked out of the District 9 semifinals the girls by St. Marys 2-1 and the boys by DuBois 1-0.

For the boys, it snaps a remarkable run of four-straight District 9 titles dating back to 2012.

DuBois was new to the 3A playoffs this season after the PIAA made the move to four classes in 2016.

The Owls finish with a record of 8-10, while the Lady Owls end the season at 10-7.

The St. Marys girls will play DuBois for the D-9 crown, while the DuBois boys move on to play Clearfield for the D-9 title.
