Lady Bulldogs pick up second win

Lakin Krouse led a balanced effort with 13 points as Tidioute picked up its second win of the season, 36-22 over Erie First on Tuesday.

The Lady Bulldogs (2-6) took control of the game in the second quarter, going on a 13-1 run to take a 16-point lead into halftime.

“We’re very excited,” said Tidioute coach Jaime Hicks. “The girls are really starting to learn how to play with one another.”

Erie First got as close as nine in the second half, but Tidioute went on another strong run to close the game.

Hanna Divido had seven points and pulled down 14 rebounds, while Amber McAfoose had eight points, three blocks and one steal and Lauren Slack had three rebounds and a block.

McAfoose and Sunny Henderson, who had six points, are part of a freshman class that Hicks is very excited about.

“Our freshman class has really been a game-changer for us,” she said.

Tidioute returns to action Friday at 6 p.m., hosting Warren County Christian School in a boys/girls doubleheader.
