Ike, Youngsville suffer losses to Region 3 foes

COCHRANTON – The Lady Knights fell one spot in the Region 3 standings after a 44-19 loss Monday at Cochranton.

Eisenhower and Cochranton entered the week tied for second place at 3-1 in league play. The Lady Knights now fall to fourth behind Cochranton and Cambridge Springs.

“We came out a little sluggish,” said Eisenhower coach Mike Logue. “Mallory got into foul trouble – she had three quick ones in the first and had to sit most of the second, then picked up her fourth with one second left and sat out most of the third.”

Despite spending roughly half the game on the bench, Trumbull led Ike in the loss with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Eisenhower hosts Sheffield in a non-region varsity contest beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The Lady Knights’ junior varsity takes on Warren County Christian School at 6 p.m.
