GIRLS HOOPS: Lady Dragons, Knights suffer road losses

BRADFORD-A strong fourth quarter wasn’t enough for the Lady Dragons to pull out their third win of the season, as they drop to 2-1 after a 42-35 loss in Bradford.

“We turned it up a little at the end and got within six, but you’re not going to win many games shooting 16-percent from the free throw line and 21-percent from the field,” said Warren coach Lisa Ruhlman. “Defensively, we played alright. Our offense lacked big time.”

Alexa Bupp led Warren with 15 points, Paige Wilson had nine, and D.J. Hahn pitched in seven.

The Lady Dragons will look to get back in the win column on Monday when they travel to Erie for a non-region game against Strong Vincent.

Warren fell in a close junior varsity contest, 21-20. Ashlee McClure scored six points for the Lady Dragons, while Katlyn Adams and Brittany Massa added five each.
