Thinking of moving to warren aera.

Good evening all. My name is ryan and we're thinking of moving to the Warren area from California. My parents live here and they are getting up there in age and I worry about them, so I want to move here to help them more. My question is, will we be welcome here and how is the job situation? California is doing very bad, though unemployment is stated to be around 15%, I can assure you that it is closer to 28% in our area. I'm Married with two children and want them to grow up in a family orientated surroundings. Cally is extremely liberal for my tastes. Thank you for your feedback.

Boise, Idaho? Oh, man, Warren doesn't have a chance against Boise.

Cummins is hiring through the temp services in Jamestown, rumor has it around 150 people are still needed. As far as Ellwood goes, I haven't heard too much gripe about the steel plant, some about the forge, and the crankshaft part is the part to avoid if you decide to go that route.

THANK YOU! Yesterday there was a shooting at our Walmart. Today, My wife took our 5yr old to school and the it was tagged real bad with gang stuff. Not used to this problem, gotten real bad in the last three years. Can't wait to get out of here. Looking into Boise, Idaho as well, but Warren is still on top of choices.

Blair (Orchard Brands) is also currently hiring.

Ellwood National Steel is advertising all of the time for entry level. There are horror stories about them, but it seems to mostly be ex-union employees that are disgruntled after Ellwood bought the National Forge Company and reorganized non-union.

Coleen Christy Real Estate GMAC.

Coldwell Banker Phil Mathyer Real Estate.

I have worked with Coleen before. They both seem reputable, but generally only list homes for sale. You may need to call as I believe they both handle home rentals also.

Did you check the WTO Classifieds? You may be able to avoid using a realator that way.

Where do I go to see listing of jobs, homes for rent?

Sasquatch

We're going to have to rent at first. Not happy about that, but it's a must.

Yea, you could look at the census, and figure out who doing most of the crimes, but that would be profiling, and that's wrong, and you would risk being labeled a racist.

That is some kind of a census they are running out there.

We have had so much crime here lately. I just found out that there is 10k gang members in our area. That's more than Warrens whole population.

No, I didn't see it, wish I would have though. I wonder if it was acting like PePe Le Pu?

Sasquatch, regarding your question on the Cottage Place home.

Sasquatch, It is a quiet neighborhood within easy walking of what downtown there is and close to the Warren Commons. You will have access to the bike hike trail up the Connewango to North Warren and the Commons.

It is in the city and I do not know how tax adverse you are, but I believe that property taxes and income taxes within the city are higher than for non city residents. I live about a mile outside the city limits in Glade Twp. and have lower taxes. Of course I don't have some of the ammenities as those in the City, such as leaf collection, but I have always been more comfortable in the country.

I believe that Pleasant Twp. is also a lower tax area and is more "developed" than where I live.
