HERMITAGE-Four members of Warren's girls golf team traveled to Hermitage VFW Golf Course on Friday, finishing fourth out of 10 teams at the Hickory Invitational.
Megan Smoulder led the Lady Dragons' scoresheet with a round of 88, which tied her for sixth out of 57 golfers, Rachel Wilson fired a 99, Katelyn Hecei stepped into the lineup and shot an even 100, and Clancy Fyock rounded things out with a 113 for a team score of 400.
"With two of our starters out, Katelyn Hecei stepped up in her first match of the year and fired a score that gave us a very respectable fourth place," said Warren coach Tom Smoulder. "I am excited for our newfound depth and the fact she will be playing for us at Lake View on Monday."
Villa Maria Blue took first in the team standings with a score of 355. The Lady Dragons finished the day eight strokes behind McDowell and seven ahead of Reynolds. Mercyhurst Prep's Grace Brzozowski shot the low round of 84.
Warren will travel to Lake View Country Club on Monday for a megamatch hosted by Mercyhurst Prep.
