Fire safety training at Rouse

August 19, 2014
Times Observer
On Aug. 14, Rouse Home employees participated in a series of hands-on fire safety workshops conducted by Youngsville Volunteer Fire Department. During the day, employees were taught the proper way to move a non-ambulatory person during an emergency situation and how to properly extinguish a fire. Tips were also given on how to effectively handle both drill and emergency situations. Pictured are members of Youngsville’s Volunteer Fire Department instructing a Rouse Home employee on how to use a fire extinguisher to douse a small fire. All Rouse employees are required to participate in educational seminars and activities on a monthly basis.
