Museum plans event
The Wilder Museum of Warren County History, 51 Erie Ave., Irvine is "Just Warming Up!" On Thursday, Sept. 18, from 5 to 7 p.m., the Wilder Museum will once again serve up the "Best Chicken BBQ You Will Ever Have!" Tickets will be $10 presale or $12 at the door. Meals will include chicken, beans, rolls, and choice of salad. Tickets may be purchased at the Wilder Museum, the Warren County Historical Society, and online at www.warrenhistory.org. All proceeds will go toward the purchase of the museum's new heating unit. For the evening's entertainment, at 6 p.m., Warren County Tales will feature the interesting story of J.P. and Alice Jefferson.
55 Plus group to meet
The 55 Plus Group of Emanuel United Church of Christ will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, for a picnic. Participants should take lunch and a beverage and meet at the church to decide where to go.

Audition for Spamalot
Auditions for Warren Players, "Spamalot" will be at the Struthers Library Theatre on Sunday, Aug. 31, at 2 p.m. and on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 6:30 p.m. with call backs on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 6:30 p.m. Coordinators will cast a minimum of 12 men and seven women, but more are welcome. Auditions are open to those in grade nine and older. Audition packets will be available beginning Aug. 15 at the theater Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Show dates will be Oct. 23 to 26. This show will be directed by Paula Roney. Monty Pythons' "Spamalot" is a musical comedy adapted from the 1975 film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." The book and lyrics were written by Eric Idle, who also wrote the music in collaboration with John Du Prez and Neil Innes. This is a highly irreverent parody of the Authurian Legend and will be rated PG-13.
