Emergency personnel work to extricate accident victims.
Two vehicles, a flatbed driven by Scott W. Stillson, 44, Warren, and a Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Lars E. Olsson, Mount Jewett, began slowing down due to another vehicle waiting to turn left onto Dutchman Run Road.
Guadagnino "for unknown reasons.. failed to reduce his speed" and "impacted the rear" of Stillson's vehicle, causing Stillson's vehicle to strike Olsson's truck, according to police.
Police said Stillson's and Olsson's vehicles sustained minor damage and that both men were uninjured.
The vehicle drive by Guadagnino "became lodged" in the rear of Stillson's vehicle "entrapping" Guadagnino and a 16-year-old male passenger.
Police said they both suffered major injuries "and required mechanical extraction from the vehicle." They were then "life-flighted from the scene via Star Flight and Life Star helicopters to Hamot Medical Center in Erie for treatment of their injuries."
Mead Township VFD and EMS and Warren City EMS assisted at the scene.
Police said further investigation is pending.
