Alexa Bupp's impressive high school career is being reflected by a growing list of postseason awards.
Over the weekend, Bupp was named first-team all-state as a pitcher in Class AAA by the Pennsylvania High School Softball Coaches Association.
Fellow graduated senior Kaitlin Ishman was a second-team pick at shortstop, making it three straight years for the Lady Dragons' duo on the all-state teams. Ishman was selected to the first team in 2013 and the second team in 2012 as a second baseman, while Bupp was a first-teamer in 2012 and a second-teamer in 2013.

From left, Warren’s Alexa Bupp, Kaitlin Ishman, and Paige Wilson were selected to the 2014 Pennsylvania High School Softball Coaches Association Class AAA All-State team after a stellar season on the diamond. Bupp was a first-team pick as a pitcher, Ishman made the second team at shortstop, and Wilson earned honorable mention at catcher.
Sophomore catcher Paige Wilson made her first appearance on the PHSSCA list as an honorable mention.
Wilson actually led the Lady Dragons' offense with a .567 batting average in 21 games. She also racked up five home runs while serving as Warren's clean-up hitter. Ishman - a Division I University of Albany signee - belted 12 home runs while hitting .463 with a 1.717 OPS (on base plus slugging percentage) from the leadoff spot. Ishman and Wilson each drove in 23 runs, tied for second on the team behind Meghan Loutzenhiser's 26.
Bupp, who will pitch at Penn State Behrend, did her share of damage at the plate to the tune of a .455 average with two home runs and 22 RBI, but it was in the pitching circle that the senior led Warren to a District 10 title.
Bupp posted an earned run average of 0.61 in 15 starts for the Lady Dragons, which was actually an increase from her 0.55 ERA as a junior. She compiled a record of 13-2 with three saves and struck out 174 batters while walking only 12 in 91 1/3 innings pitched.
All three players were named to the Region 7 first team as voted on by the region coaches and the District 10 All-Star Team selected by the Erie Times-News. Bupp was Region 7's Pitcher of the Year and District 10 Player of the Year while Wilson was awarded Region 7 Co-Player of the Year honors.
Bupp, Ishman and Wilson were instrumental in leading Warren to its first District 10 Class AAA Softball Championship since 2010. The Lady Dragons rolled through the regular season with a record of 17-1 before advancing to the D10 playoffs, where they defeated Corry and Fort LeBoeuf to win the title.
Warren's season ended at the hands of Greensburg Salem, 2-0, in the first round of the PIAA State Playoffs.
Other District 10 representatives on the PHSSCA all-state rosters included Fort LeBoeuf first baseman Jolene Young (first team) and catcher Kelsey Kuzma (honorable mention) in Class AAA.
McDowell had a pair of Class AAAA selections in first baseman Jenna Pecar (first team) and outfielder Lexi Fuller (honorable mention).
Class A had three honorable mentions in Iroquois catcher Alli Kaliszewski and pitcher Rachel Prather as well as West Middlesex pitcher Jordyn Allen.
