It took nine innings to decide a winner between Post 135 and Blair Thursday at Old Legion Field, but when the dust settled it was Post that came away with a 6-5 win in extras.
Post 135 scored a pair of runs in the top of the ninth when Seth Baldensperger drew a bases-loaded walk that scored Ryan Gustafson and Mark Reiff brought in Caleb Dexter on a sacrifice fly.
Blair took one back in the home half of the inning before Post 135's Jimmy Vile shut the door on his team's second win of the year. Vile tossed all nine innings, allowing just two hits and striking out eight batters.

Post 135 started the scoring in the second when Colin Mason doubled home Brad Walters, who had led off with a single. Collin Fantaskey singled in the bottom of the fourth for Blair and came home on a sac fly by Matt Hultquist to the game at one.
That's where the game stayed until extra innings, where Austin Schwanke and Vile reached base to spark a Post rally in the top of the eighth. Schwanke was gunned out at home with Blair opting to move to a five-man infield before Vile scored on a wild pitch to break the 1-1 tie. Walters and Mason hit back-to-back RBI singles to give Post the 4-1 advantage.
Blair didn't stay down for long as Mitch Dorunda and Sage Anderson reached base on a pair of Post 135 errors. Bryce Cummings walked to load the bases and Collin Fantaskey brought in one with a sac fly before Hultquist connected on a clutch two-RBI double with two outs to extend the game.
Gustafson singled and Dexter and Vile each drew walks to load the bases for Baldensperger in Post's half of the ninth.
After Reiff's RBI gave Post the late lead, Eddie Ord walked and scored to get one run back for Blair in the bottom of the inning.
Offensively, Vile finished the day 3-for-4 at the plate with a double while Walters and Mason each had a single and a double for Post 135. Tyler Bradley started the game on the mound for Blair and allowed one run over seven innings of work.
Blair will try to make up a game with Corry on Sunday before heading to Davis Street Field for a game against Youngsville on Monday afternoon. Post 135 is scheduled to host Corry on Monday at a location to be determined due to a Little League All-Star game scheduled at North Warren's Old Legion Field.
Post 135 and Blair meet again on Tuesday.
