Eisenhower High School released its schedule for the 2014 varsity football season on Monday with a few notable changes from past years.
Region 2 was left relatively untouched by the new two-year enrollment cycle, save for Mercyhurst Prep being moved to Class AA Region 4. Saegertown will fill the Lakers' spot after dropping to Class A starting in 2014.
The Knights' regular season kicks off with three home games at the Pasture of Pain, beginning with a non-region match-up against Mercer on August 29.
The road to a third consecutive Region 2 title begins with county-rival Youngsville in the Backyard Brawl in Week 2.
This year's homecoming game will be held September 12 and features the Knights taking on Iroquois.
Ike has added a pair of non-region games later in the season on the road against Sharpsville - which eliminated the Knights from last year's District 10 Class A Playoffs - and at home against Sheffield in Week 10.
As District 9 uses the last week of the regular season for league championships, whether that game is played will depend on if the Wolverines once again find themselves playing for an Allegheny Mountain League title.
