The Conewango Township supervisors opened bids during their Monday afternoon meeting.
Russell Standard Corp. of Union City submitted the lowest bid for sealcoating Weiler Road, River Road and Preston Road at $44,184.04.
The next lowest and remaining bid was from Suite-Kote Corp. of Jamestown, N.Y., for $45,313.97.
Russell Standard was also the lowest bid for paving Ditmar, Lansing and Vine streets at $50,961.24. Other bids for the project were from Wilson Excavating of Wilmington at $62,271; Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. for $65,076; IA Construction Corp. of Warren for $64,571.10; and Kingsview Paving of Jamestown, N.Y., for $64,515.
The supervisors also reported the North Warren Playground on Church Street has been transferred to the North Warren Presbyterian Church; and the bridge inspections by Stiffler, McGraw and Associates Inc. are complete and all the bridges in the township except for River Road, which will be replaced, passed inspection.
Conewango Township Police Chief Jason Peters said the department has received $1,500 in funding for traffic detail for the Pennsylvania Aggressive Driver Road Enforcement Program from July 7 through Aug. 31. For the last aggressive driver program the department received $2,000 for a three-week program.
