Coming off a season in which they finished second in District 10, the Warren Dragons' tennis team dominated the Region 2 All-Star selections with three first-team singles players and two first-team doubles pairs.
Senior foreign-exchange student Ben Auzou fromFrance topped the list as Region 2 Player of the Year after compiling a singles record of 15-2 and a 6-2 doubles mark in his first year at Warren Area High School.
Junior Nate Sandberg manned the first singles spot for the Dragons all season, and was a first-team pick for the second year with a 14-2 singles record.

Warren’s Ben Auzou, seen here competing in the Dragons’ Doubles Tournament at Betts Park, was named Region 2 Player of the Year as voted on by the region’s coaches. Warren claimed three of five first-team singles spots and two first-team doubles pairs on the all-star roster.
Sandberg and Auzou advanced to the District 10 Class AA Doubles Championship Final before falling to Fairview's Ben Wescott and Austin Fiedler. Individually, Sandberg and Auzou entered the D-10 Tournament seeded first and second, respectively, but were defeated on day one of the competition.
Playing in the Dragons' third singles spot, junior Sean McGuinness put together a cumulative record of 16-4 en route to his first all-region selection. McGuinness won two qualifying rounds to to earn a spot in the D-10 Singles Tournament, where he defeated Titusville's number two player before dropping a match to third-seeded Kyle Thomas of Harbor Creek.
Warren also received first-team doubles honors for the pairs of Bryce Bauer and Quinn Boger as well as Noah Colvin and Clark Eason.
Pairs were shuffled throughout the season with Eason finishing a perfect 12-0, Colvin 11-4, Bauer 10-3, and Boger 7-1 in doubles play.
Bauer and Colvin teamed up in the D-10 Doubles Championships to win a match over Sharon's top pair before falling to Harbor Creek in the quarterfinal.
Colvin also went 2-2 in singles play for an overall 13-6 record as a sophomore.
As a team, the 2014 Dragons finished 13-1 overall including a perfect 12-0 in the regular season. Warren will return all but one starter when it looks to defend its Region 2 Championship next year.
