Students in 21 classes, kindergarten through second grade at Warren Area Elementary Center, have spent the last month learning about about fitness, nutrition, sun protection and the dangers of smoking. On Thursday students spent part of the afternoon exercising as part of the American Cancer Society Relay Recess at WAEC. Caryl Decker, kindergarten teacher at WAEC headed up the days events for the American Cancer Society. WAEC raised over $1,400 for the American Cancer Society during its bookfair, Decker said.
