The annual Four Flags Ceremony - marking the beginning of summer and commemorating the rich heritage of Warren County - will be held at Heritage Point, Crescent Park next to the Hickory Street Bridge, on Saturday, May 24. Music will begin at 10:45 a.m., and the program will be held from 11 a.m. to noon. Musical guests will be the Elks Club Band, Conewango Clippers Barbershop Singers and Mark Davis, who will play an Indian tune on flute. Pictured, from left, are committee members Ian Scott of the Kiwanis Club; Harvey Stone of the Rotary Club; and John McGarry of the Exchange Club; major contributor Bette Gerardi; and Don Reed of the Lions Club. Nearly $3,000 in contributions were made to the Four Flags project last year to support the purchase of all new flags, which will be hung Saturday during the ceremony.
