Jeanne Ann Williams, 73, of Katie Drive, Warren, died Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Warren General Hospital. Jeanne was born May 5, 1941, in Warren, PA, the daughter of the late John and Hazel Carlson Jordan.
Jeanne was a 1959 graduate of Warren High School. During high school and shortly after, she had been employed by the Taylor Pharmacy, and also worked as a banquet waitress at the Holiday Inn; and then worked at the Blair Corporation from 1987 to 2001, from which she retired. She was a lifelong member of the First Lutheran Church, and was part of the Senior Fellowship Group. Jeanne enjoyed playing cards, and was a member of the S&B Dinner Club. She also enjoyed lunches with her girlfriends, and enjoyed her family and especially loved her grandchildren.
Jeanne is survived by her husband, Mr. Lynn D. Williams, whom she married on August 22, 1959; two sons, Blaine Williams, and wife, Ellen, and Darren Williams, both of Warren; one daughter, Melissa Marfink, and husband, Brian, also of Warren; five grandchildren, Brandon Williams, Erin Williams, Zakkery Stover, Heather Marfink and Hanna Marfink; and her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jeanne is preceded in death by her sister, Janet L. Thompson.
Friends will be received at the First Lutheran Church, 109 W. Third Ave., Warren, on Friday, May 23, from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Saturday, May 24, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time, a funeral service will be held there, with The Rev. David Blank and The Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, coofficiating.
Burial will follow at Warren County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Lutheran Church, or the American Diabetes Association, Suite 602, 300 Penn Center Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
