Woman’s Club hears program on ‘Livestrong’

April 28, 2014
Times Observer

Program chairman Sioux Cole introduced YMCA Livestrong health and wellness director Chris Dolan and Livestrong program manager Kim Slocum from the YMCA as speakers at a recent Woman's Club meeting. The Livestrong Foundation was started by athlete Lance Armstrong to aid people affected by cancer through direct support services that fill critical financial, emotional, physical and practical gaps in care for them and their loved ones. The Warren YMCA was among 16 YMCAs chosen in 2013 as recipients of the "Livestrong at the Y" program through the Livestrong Community Impact Project.
