Preserving local history

The Warren County Historical Society is a private nonprofit organization that serves the community by preserving the county's artifacts, images, textiles and documents. Currently through, the historical society is soliciting funds to upgrade the security and fire system, purchase additional preservation materials and shelving units, sponsor the 2014 summer internship program, and upgrade the negative film and glass plate negative scanning equipment. Also, the Wilder Museum of Warren County History, a holding of the Warren County Historical Society, is a seasonal facility with more than 3,000 artifacts on display. The Wilder Museum requires a new heating and cooling unit as well as two new security entrance/exit upgrades.
