Tidioute Senior Center was decorated quite nicely for the Easter Season and all sorts of candy was added for those who in attendance on Thursday.
Margaret Alberth celebrated the milestone celebration of turning 100 years old on April 2. She was honored at the recent Tidioute Towers tureen dinner with a cake and flowers. Margaret has been a resident at the Towers since June 2006. She is known for her cheery personality and the vast array of stylish hats she wears.
At Senior Center
Lynn Espin of the Area on Aging/ Experience is seen here with Tidioute Senior Center President Sue Lester on Thursday. Espin was present to discuss “Fast Food and Fun” and had some games that were enjoyed by those present for the program that took place before lunch.
Senior Center Easter Dinner
Members of Tidioute Senior enjoyed Easter Dinner on Thursday of ham, scalloped potatoes and several dishes frome those who attended.
Tuesday, April 29 will be breakfast.
Thursday, May 1 will be vegetable soup and sandwiches, desserts and beverages.
Monday, May 5 will be macaroni and cheese, desserts and beverages.
Tuesday, May 6 will be stuffed peppers and stuffed cabbage rolls, dessert and beverages.
Thursday, May 8 will be sauerkraut and pork roast, mashed potatoes and vegetables, dessert and beverages.

Senior Center News
Tidioute Senior Center members met prior to lunch and decided to purchase helium to inflate birthday balloons.
The center is in need of new round tablecloths, members voted to purchase new ones.
The Easter Dinner consisted of ham, scalloped potatoes and lots of tureen dishes from the members.
Egg coloring was done by Hazel Ord, Sue Rondinelli, Martha Walters. Eggs were furnished by Martha Walters along with candy.
Guessing the number of jelly beans in the jar was won by Gary Koech, he won a chocolate rabbit. Marian Dashner donated the rabbit.
A drawing for two small chocolate rabbits was held and winners were Martha Walters and Bill Downey.
Small Easter baskets were made and filled by the kitchen staff and put at each place setting for those who attended for lunch.
Lynn Espin was present on Monday to discuss "Fast Foods and Fun" a list of foods that boost memory was handed out to those present. Several memory games were played and a great time was had by all who attended.
Some of the foods that are good for your memory include: blueberries, apples, spinach, onion, broccoli, grapes, red beets, oily fish, dark chocolate, walnuts, green tea, coffee. mixed nuts, just to name a few.
Members of the Watson Grange will meet on Thursday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Grange Hall with pie for refreshments.
A sincerest apology is extended to all those who may have traveled to Watson Grange on April 12 for the Turkey Party which had been canceled due to water problems.
The Turkey Party has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 26 with the doors opening at 6 p.m. and games will begin at 7 p.m.
There was four miles of Route 337 cleaned on April 19 by several grange members.
Craft nights will begin with the first one on Monday, April 28 at the home of Alice Weaver at 6:30 p.m.
Tidioute Sports Boosters will be holding a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, April 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria.
Cost is $8 and will include spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, dessert and a beverage.
Booster members will be taking orders to go from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Deliveries will be available for the residents of Tidioute Towers.

Tidioute First United Methodist Church will be holding a Dollar Dinner on Tuesday, April 29 starting at 6 p.m.
This is open to all in the community and all the food will be prepared and served by the church.
Elzie Lynch Post
Members of the Elzie Lynch America Legion Post 334 are reminded of the meeting on Tuesday, April 29 at 6:30 p.m. at St. John Church.
All members are urged to attend.
Egg Hunt Winners
Saturday was the Easter Egg Hunt that was sponsored by the Pennsylvania State Championship Fishing Tournament committee.
Winner in the 0 to age 3 group was Mitchell McCauley; age 4 to age 7 winner was Paige Beck and winner in the 8 and up group was Jessica Summerville.
Cooper Leonardi age 4 and Marlee Nuttall age 6 were the winners of the two large Easter Baskets donated by the tournament.
There was approximately 115 to 120 children gathering up eggs and looking for the Golden Eggs.
Each child received a goodie bag full of candy and play items.

Residents and campers only of Limestone Township will have Spring Clean-up on Saturday, May 10 from 8 a.m. till 3 p.m.
You must show a tax statement to prove property ownership.
No tires or batteries.
Watson Township will have its Spring Clean-up on Saturday, May 10 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $5
On May 4 there will be Bingo Games at Buccardo's Restaurant. Doors will open at 1 p.m. and games start at 2 p.m.
