Betty Abraham

Betty Louise Abraham, age 79, a resident of Irving for 48 years, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Texas Health Harris Methodist HEB Hospital in Bedford. Born November 18, 1934 in Warren, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Harold George Jackson and Virginia L. Porter Jackson. A member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Irving until 2003, Betty is presently a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church. She was President of the Red Hat Club, a member of the Parkland Bears, and a Precinct Chairman in Irving for many years. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, William A. Abraham in 2002 and brothers, George and Albert Jackson, Betty is survived by her daughter, Sonja Logan and husband Jeffrey of Bedford; sons, Scott Abraham and wife Cristina of Irving, and Stephen Abraham of Euless; grandchildren, Lehman (Trey), Kristen, Matias, Marcos, Leandro and Sophie; greatgrandchildren, Anna and Melanie; sister, Mary Lou Wiggins and husband James L. of North Carolina. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2014 at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Hurst with Pastor Willard McKiver officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church Playground Project, 504 Bedford Euless Road West, Hurst, Texas 76053.
