After school program
The 21st Century Community Learning Center After School Program held a Family Night on April 10, 2014 at Allegheny Valley Elementary School. Enrichment provider Belinda Brohn displayed student artwork from the past week and also engaged the families and students in a drawing activity inspired by Michaelangelo. The students closed their eyes and scribbled for a few seconds, then the parents had to turn the scribbles into a drawing. After this activity, Ian Eastman from Family Services of Warren County spoke to the parents about “Boundaries and Expectations”.To round out the evening, a meal was enjoyed by all. The next Family Night is scheduled for May 29. Contact Christine Haslett, Program Manager, (814)723-6903 ext 1038 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The 21st Community Learning Center is funded with a grant provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
