Harassment. Warren-based state police said on April 5 at 6:10 pm. at Warren State Hospital, Brittany Schlaak, 23, Warren, subjected a 27-year-old person from Kane to physical contact by pulling her hair and biting her left index finger. Police said the victim suffered minor injury as a result of the altercation. Police said charges are pending against Schlaak for harassment through District Justice Laura Bauer's office.
DUI Crash. Conewango Township police reported that on April 10 at 11 p.m. police were dispatched to an accident at the intersection of Market Street and Timothy Avenue. Police said Larry Timblin told them that he was traveling north on Market Street when another vehicle drove across the turning lane and struck the front of his F-150. Police spoke with the other driver, Kimberly Tome, Warren, who stated she did not remember the crash and admitted to drinking prior to the crash. Police said Tome was transported to Warren General Hospital and was subsequently charged with DUI and several traffic violations. Charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer.
Theft/criminal mischief. Warren-based state police said between noon April 8 and midnight on April 10 at the Grand Valley Volunteer Fire Department someone bypassed the outer locking mechanism of a soda machine gaining access to the inside of the machine. Police said the coin dispenser was damaged and an estimated $150 in coins and paper money was taken. Damage estimated at $200, according to police.
