All are invited to a Community Good Friday Service this Friday at 7:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church (200 Market Street). Free parking is available in the mid-town municipal lot. The service, sponsored by the Warren Ministerial Association, has 12 churches participating including: First United Methodist Church, Pleasant Community Church, North Warren Presbyterian Church, Warren Wesleyan Church, Warren Alliance Church, The Salvation Army of Warren, First Church of God, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, First Presbyterian Church, Calvary Baptist Church, and Faith Fellowship Church of God. The service will include a brief message from Major Roger Duperree of The Salvation Army. Major Duperree is from West Nyack, N.Y., and works at the Salvation Army's national office. The service will also include congregational singing, a joint choir presentation, a cellist and a bag piper. The service will include Tenebrae readings, guiding participants in reflecting upon the suffering and death of Jesus Christ.
