Marian M. Loomis, 78, of the Frewsburg Rest Home, formerly of Randolph, died 8:15 P.M. Sunday, April 13, 2014 at W.C.A. Hospital in Jamestown, NY.
She was born July 1, 1935 in Spring Creek, PA, the daughter of Clement L. and Ida Reick Miller.
She attended Cambridge Springs High School in Cambridge PA. She was a selfemployed housekeeper and homecare aide. She was a waitress at the Randolph American Legion Post #181, and worked in the meat department at Quality Markets. She enjoyed bingo, gardening, crocheting, ceramics and loved hummingbirds, angels and Santa Clauses. She was a former member of Southside Baptist Church in Jamestown, NY and the Randolph American Legion Auxillary Unit #181.
She is survived by 1 son: Bennie A. Meacham of Amherst, NY; 3 daughters: Marilyn (Tim) Bowley, and Sandra Turney both of Randolph, Ida (Dennis) Lore of Youngsville, PA; 9 grandchildren, and 17 greatgrandchildren.
She is predeceased by her first husband Bennie Meacham whom she married Nov. 1, 1952 and died January 1, 1982; and her second husband Clyde Loomis whom she married in 1982 and died in 1997; 3 brothers: Frank Miller, Clement Miller and Lawrence Miller; 6 sisters: Eleanor Andrews, Lucille VanGuilder, Joyce Spencer, Helen Hetrick, Donna Yucha, and Lois Winklebauer.
Funeral Services will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the East Randolph United Methodist Church with the Reverend Rodney Mileham, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will be in the Randolph Cemetery. Friends will be received at the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph, 47 P.M., Wednesday, April 16, 2014.
