The Hamilton Township Veterans Memorial is taking shape in McKean County.
While there are monuments for Ludlow's World War I and II vets, there was not, prior to the effort currently in progress, a memorial to veterans and families of other conflicts and peace time.
That monument is nearing completion. The foundation base at Wildcat Park is in place. Bricks are being engraved with the names and service information of the township's veterans.
Most of the bricks are, anyway. Officials are looking for more information on 35 of the more than 260 veterans to be honored in the memorial.
Ludlow American Legion Post 489 President Bill Blauser is asking the following veterans, or their family members, to contact him at (814) 945-5506:
Edward Campbell, Etta M. Carducci, John G. Carlson, Bryon Carter, Clair Cochran, Donald Cochran, Gerald Cochran, Glenn Cochran, James Cochran, James Connelly, Howard Cross, Phyllis
