There will be a Corn Festival planning meeting on Tuesday, March 18, in the conference room of the Youngsville Borough Building, 40 Railroad St. The 6:30 p.m. meeting is open to the public. Ron Young, this year's Corn Festival chairman, said, "Everyone will have an opportunity to offer questions and opinions to make Youngsville's next annual corn festival the best that it can be." The Revitalization Of Youngsville's Corn Festival is a community party on the Main Street in Youngsville's downtown that is held on the third weekend of August every year. This year the date falls on Aug. 16-17. There are a number of family activities, especially for children, planned at little to no cost to the community. The festival will feature wagon rides, games, music and food. Youngsville citizens welcome all friends and neighbors. Anyone who would like further information may call Young at 563-4722.
Lucky Sundays offered

The Sanford youth group will offer Shamrock Shakes and Lucky Sundays in the social room of Sanford United Methodist Church, 2550 Sanford Rd., Pittsfield, beginning at 6 p.m. Monday, March 17. The public is invited. Cost will be a donation. The event will continue until the ice cream is gone.

Warren High School Class of 1957 will meet on Saturday, March 15, at 12:30 p.m. at Christie's Downtown Pub and Grille, 229 1/2 Penna. Ave. W., Warren.
The Warren/Forest Chapter of Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees (PASR) will again award two $450 scholarships to two public school seniors graduating from the schools in Warren and/or Forest counties. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in a four-year college program beginning the next school year. The criteria used to award the scholarship are academic achievement, involvement in school and community activities past and present, and financial need. The official application form can be picked up from the student's guidance office. Deadline for submission will be Friday, April 11.
Cleaning class offered
"Put Some Zing in Your Spring Cleaning" will be offered Wednesday, March 19, at 12:30 p.m. at the Allegheny Community Center (ACC), 42 Clark St., Warren. Learn how to make natural cleaning products that are kind to the environment and people. Participants should take a spray bottle. Call the ACC to reserve a spot in the class at 723-3237. Donations are being taken for supplies.
A turkey party to benefit Relay for Life will be held Saturday, March 15, at Pleasant Social Hall, 539 Pleasant Dr., Warren. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the party will run from 7 to 10 p.m. Attendees must be 18 years of age. Beverages and some food will be provided. Participants should take their own beverages. There will be door prizes, raffles and turkey party games. Tickets are $5 or three for $10; each ticket offers a chance to win the grand prize kayak package. On-line registration for this year's Kiwanis Blood Screening Program is now available, highlighted in red, on the home page of the Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry website at www.wccbi.org. The screening will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, April 26 , from 6 to 10 a.m. The costs for this year's screening remains at $35 for the basic screening and an additional cost of $25 for prostate screening, recommended for males older than 40. The on-line registration will be available only through March 30 .
