4-H-ers get their hands dirty with the new gardening club

March 10, 2014
The Times Observer

Spend the summer in the sun by helping the garden to grow at the Extension office. Children age 8 to 18 are invited to join the new 4-H gardening club. Club members will get to plant seeds and watch them grow, decorate the garden, and learn about plant science through hands on activities. The first meeting will be on Tuesday, March 25, at 7 p.m. at the Penn State Extension office at 100 Dillon Dr., Youngsville. Gardening club activities will run from March through October. The club will meet twice a month on Tuesdays, with four Saturday morning garden days throughout the season.
