Rotary and Boy Scouts team up for pancakes

March 5, 2014
The Times Observer

Warren Rotary Club and Chief Cornplanter Council of the Boy Scouts will host its 17th annual St. Patrick's Day Pancake and Sausage Supper at St. Joseph's Education Center from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 12. The menu will include all you can eat pancakes and sausages, with Angove's pure maple syrup and apple sauce on the side. Sugar free syrup is available as well as take-outs. Each year, about 30 to 40 members of the Rotary Club, with help from the Boy Scouts, spend their evening cooking serving and cleaning up for this dinner. This is their primary fund raiser for the year. All the money raised is used locally to fund a number of programs including the 4-H club awards, local college scholarships, the Salvation Army Soup Pantry, the Free Books for Kids program and the Chief Cornplanter Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Sponsors for the event include Warren Times Observer, Wal-Mart Super Center, Tim Horton's and McDonald's. Cost will be $7 for adults and $5 for children younger than 10. Buy your tickets from any Rotarian, at Stone Consulting, 324 Pennsylvania Ave. W., or at the door.
