Motor vehicle accident

February 28, 2014
The Times Observer

A 2008 white Ford F-150 pickup and a silver 1998 Saturn sedan collided nearly head-on Thursday afternoon, about one-tenth of a mile north of Fiddler Hill Road on Matthews Run Road. Weather conditions were difficult; the road was slippery; and wind caused white-outs at times. Laurie Stallings, a passenger in the Saturn was transported by ambulance. The Saturn's driver, Rudolph Manelick and another passenger, Dustin Patz were not injured, nor was the driver of the Ford, Carrie Spencer, and a juvenile male. Police said Spencer was charged with failure to travel at a safe speed, and everyone was wearing lap and shoulder seatbelts. Youngsville volunteer firefighters and EmergyCare responded to the scene.
