During Trinity Memorial Church's recent observance of Scout Sunday on Feb. 2, parishioners Addy and Gary Landrio were awarded the Saint George Award of the Episcopal Church. The Saint George Award is a national recognition to acknowledge distinguished service by adults in the spiritual, physical, mental and moral development of youths through service to the church and through national youth agency programs. Addy and Gary earned the award through 22 years of service through the Boy Scouts as den leaders, scout leaders, Unit Commissioners, and service on the executive board. During that time they led Trinity's troop and led many of the church's youths to the Eagle Scout rank and the earning of the God and Country award. Beyond their work in Scouts, Addy and Gary are also continuous supporters of youth oriented ministry opportunities at the local parish and in the regional diocese.
