Cancer Center decor

February 5, 2014
The Times Observer

Since the Warren General Hospital Cancer Care Center renovations are complete, the last piece of the puzzle is decoration. The WGH Auxiliary and Marty Adams, WGH volunteer, are coordinating the hanging of beautiful quilt pieces on the walls. A continuous show of full quilts and quilts pieces by members of the Quilters Night Out Guild will provide the center with a variety of color, beauty and style, all stitched by local quilters. Pictured is Sally Clark, 82, who has volunteered at the Cancer Center since it opened its doors, missing only one day since 2009. She is also a brilliant quilter and enjoys pointing out her favorite that is hanging on the wall at the center. Her piece and the others by Quilters Night Out add so much color and hominess to the building and are a magnificent display for patients, families and staff to view and enjoy.
