In other news, the chorus was busy last month and kept their voices in tune with singing engagements at several establishments. They sang for the Ellery Seniors at the Hare 'N' Hound restaurant in Bemus Point, N.Y.; the Marvin House in Jamestown; at the Struthers Library Theater in Warren; for the CASA benefit Christmas concert; and they entertained the residents at the Rouse Home in Youngsville. In addition, the group and their spouses celebrated Christmas at the Olive Garden in Lakewood, N.Y.
The Chautauqua Shores practice every Monday at 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, using the Fifth St. entrance in Jamestown, N.Y. Any woman, from any age group who loves to sing, is invited to attend. The chorus sings a cappella, four-part harmony, barbershop-style music which includes gospel, patriotic, seasonal numbers, up tunes, etc. There is no requirement to read music as learning media is available.
