V. Renee (Hodges) Chapel, 74, of East Main St. in Youngsville, passed away January 6, 2014 at her residence.
She was born March 8, 1939, a daughter to the late Darius and Sara (Dunkle) Hodges. Renee was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Youngsville where she took part in the Esther Circle. She volunteered at the Nutrition 7 Program, was a past member of the Brokenstraw Grange, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren. Renee was an avid reader, loved singing and enjoyed her cats.
Renee is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Franklin L. Chapel, whom she married on September 13, 1958, two daughters, Lynn (David) Finlan of Warren, Pa., Melanie (David) Brush of Warriors Mark, Pa., a son, Berton (Marie) Chapel of Irvine, Pa., a brother, John (Jack) L. Hodges of Irvine, Pa, 3 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 2 great grandsons, 3 stepgreat grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Renee is preceded in death by an infant brother, LeRoy, and a sister Norma K. Rapp.
A memorial service will be held at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Friday, January 10, at noon. Friends will be received one hour prior, with the pastor, Donald Wells, pastor of the Starbrick Community Church, officiating. Burial will be in Youngsville Cemetery.
