History repeats itself

January 6, 2014
The Times Observer

Featured in the 1983 Times Observer, above, cousins celebrated their first Christmases: Bobby Miles, left (eight months), and Shannon Wertz, right (six months) received the wooden infant sleds in which they are sitting. The sleds were made by their grandfather, John Wertz of Warren. Center is Bobby's sister, Tracie. Bobby is the son of Robert and Cheryl Miles of Alexander St., the caption read, and Shannon is the daughter of John and Sandy Wertz of Conewago Ave. The photo was taken by then reporter Del Ristau. Below, the cousins today with their own children in the same wooden infant sleds, from left, Bobby with son Logan of New Castle; Tracie Gray of Warren; and Shannon Ochs with son, Lucas, of Lewisville, Texas. Photos courtesy Cheryl Miles of Warren.
