The week-long Christmas basket raffle at Warren General Hospital netted more than $13,113 for the WGH Auxiliary. The 12th annual over-the-top "baskets" proved again to be the one of biggest money raisers for the auxiliary. This money, and all money raised by the auxiliary, stays in the community to help fund and support the various projects: medical student scholarships, the chaplaincy program at WGH, health fairs and promotions, holiday decorations, waiting room toys, plants and reading materials. The auxiliary also sponsors the adult and youth volunteer programs and operates the Window Box Gift Shop. All proceeds from this year's Basket Raffle are earmarked for the Auxiliary's $150,000 pledge to the WGH Cancer Care Center.
