Duane F. Williams, 65, of Auburn IN, died Monday, December 9, 2013, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
He was born April 3, 1948, in Jamestown, NY, to Ralph and Ruth (Wilson) Williams.
Duane graduated from Eisenhower High School. He was a veteran of The United States Navy Serving during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a maintenance technician at FXI in Auburn for 35 years, retiring this past May.
Duane was an avid golfer, fisherman, hunter and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife Cathie J. (Leggett), married October 28, 1972. Also surviving are two sons, Christopher E. Williams, and Jon M. (Mindy) Williams: a daughter, Ashley L. (T.J) Knudson; four grandchildren; Hayden, Reese, and Parker Williams, and Riley Knudson, all of Auburn. Surviving also are five brothers Ron (Cindy) Williams; Denny (Barb) Williams; Dick (Pat) Williams; Carl (Darlene) Williams; and John (Candy) Williams: and two sisters Donna Rutsky and Diane Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brotherinlaw Howard Rutsky and sisterinlaw Carol Williams.
Visitation will be Thursday 24 and 68 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St. Auburn, IN.
Services will be Friday at 11 am, Father Derrick Sneyd will be officiating, Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Navy and the American Legion Post 97 of Auburn.
