Dennis P. Conroy, 73, of Warren, formerly of Natrona Heights, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Cambridge of Warren after a lengthy battle with prostate cancer.
He was born March 3, 1940, in Natrona Heights, the son of the late Charles M and Elizabeth M. Evans Conroy, Sr. Dennis was a 1959 graduate of HarBrack High School and Pierce College in Los Angeles, Calif.
He was an Army veteran. Dennis was employed at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation in Brackenridge before retiring to Warren County. Dennis enjoyed fishing, hunting along with taxidermy. He was a very gifted in mechanical and artistic endeavors. He was well known for his Corvettes and love of the mountains in which he lived.
Dennis was of the Catholic faith. He is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Maureen (Thomas) Hewitt of Latrobe, Margaret (Donald) Zakman of Pittsburgh, and Susan (Richard) Farrell of South Bend, Indiana, and his brothers, Charles (Lois) Conroy of Natrona Heights, William Conroy of Miami, Fl., Thomas (Elizabeth) Conroy of Sarver, Robert (Dawn) Conroy of Natrona Heights, and Vincent (Roberta) Conroy of Tyler Hill, Pa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen T. Conroy.
Friends will be received on Friday from 48 PM in the CicholskiZidek Funeral Home, Inc. 1522 Carlisle St. Natrona Heights 7242248688, where a blessing service will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Nick Spirko as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
