Carl A. Walters Jr., 82, of Tidioute, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, in Allegheny General Hospital with his loving wife by his side on their 60th wedding anniversary.
Born August 7, 1931, in Sewickley, he was the son of the late Carl A. Sr. and Lottie Hood Walters. A US Army veteran, he was a retired employee of Armco Steel, Crescent Twp. Road Dept., and K&N Sales in Crescent. He was a lifelong member of the VFW in Tidioute and a member of the American Legion in Youngsville, Pa.
Surviving are his lovely wife of 60 years, Martha Walters of Tidioute; a son, Carl A. Walters III of Crescent; a daughter and son in law, Diana Mae and Greg Sirney of Florida; a sister and brotherinlaw, Luana and Wayne Grimm of Crescent; five grandchildren, Jerry Sirney of Tidioute, Glen (Danielle) Tanner of Crescent, Michelle and Shawn Sirney of Florida, and Carla Tanner Cirella of Beaver Falls, and 14 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie Ann Walters Tanner; a granddaughter, Threasa Sirney, and a brother Raymond Walters.
Friends will be received at a Memorial Service at 1 PM on Saturday, November 23rd at the Presbyterian Church, Main St., Tidioute Pa. A Military Funeral will immediately follow a service at Sutton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
