Recognizing volunteers

November 16, 2013
The Times Observer

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program held a luncheon on Friday to honor volunteers both for total annual hours and for years of service. RSVP provides volunteers to help community organizations that need assistance in their daily work week, and also offers the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program to seniors needing help with preparing their taxes each year. The RSVP Toy Shoppe, on the grounds of the Warren State Hospital, provides volunteers an opportunity to work with their hands making toys for underprivileged children. On the right, Sue Himes, RSVP director presents a certificate to Lorraine Terry for volunteering 1,000 hours over the last year.
