Some new fitness classes conducted by Susan Toombs, Certified Fitness Trainer by International Sports Science Association, offer a combination of classes to members of ACC at ACC, 42 Clark St. An Extreme Fitness Class (explores every extreme fitness which consists of balance, stamina, strength, endurance and cardio) uses weights & physio balls and is offered Mon., & Wed. at 1:15 p.m. and Fri. at 12:15 p.m. A Core Fitness Class which teaches the best strategies for reducing inches around the middle by increasing your metabolism with exercise and nutrition is offered Wed. at 5:15 weekly. These classes are offered in 6 week sessions and cost depends on once or twice or three times per week participation. Class combinations are your choice. For more info, just call 723-3237.
The Senior Expo is Friday, Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Allegheny Community Center, 42 Clark Street, sponsored by the Warren/Forest Eldercare Council. The Expo features over 60 health-related vendors plus several free services and health screenings, including hearing, blood pressure, pulse oxygen & glucose and flu shots. Free lunch available from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. All Seniors are encouraged to attend. There's plenty of parking being made available, too.

ACC is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. ACC is closed for all activities and meals on legal holidays and on those days when Warren County schools are closed unexpectedly due to bad weather. Hot lunches or light alternative lunches are available Monday-Friday at noon. You can call your reservation to 723-3237. Bistro lunch is available on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no reservation required. Take-outs available.
The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following menu at Allegheny Community Center and other Warren-Forest centers Oct. 21-25: chicken tenders Monday; lasagna Tuesday; meatloaf Wednesday; sloppy joe Thursday; breakfast for lunch Friday. Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Tidioute and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sites. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations.
