Jereek Jackson has been at the forefront of Sheffield's resurgence, and at the forefront of the some recent come-from-behind victories - count 'em, three - that have put the Wolverines into a first-place tie in District 9's AML North. On Saturday, at Sheffield's Homecoming game, the Wolverines trailed 14-0 before three Jackson touchdowns in the second and third quarters, respectively, for a 28-14 win. Jackson, who has 10 touchdowns in six games, finished with 187 yards (127 rushing) with a 82-yard touchdown run and 60-yard receiving touchdown in the second quarter. Then he had a seven-yard rushing touchdown in the third. Jackson is the Times Observer Male Athlete of the Week, sponsored by McDonald's.
