Desiree McChesney, daughter of Vicki Wimer and Jon McChesney was crowned Miss Tidioute 2013 on Saturday night, and on the right is Allexa Morgan, daughter of Chris and Monica Morgan, who was crowned Teen Miss 2013 on Saturday. The Pageant took place at the Tidioute Community Charter School.

The Tidioute Presbyterian Church will hold its Third Annual Spaghetti and Meatball Supper on Friday, Sept. 27 from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
Dinner includes spaghetti and meatballs, tossed salad, garlic bread, dessert and beverage for only $6 per person.
Take out orders will be available, call 484-313 after 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27.

For $20, you get a business card that is redeemable at the Ticket Booth, which will give you 30 ride tickets.
Also, don't forget to fill out the back of the card before you redeem it. Filling out the card will give you an entry in a raffle to win a bicycle.
Tickets can be purchased at Buccardo's Restaurant, Tidioute Trading Post, and Polly's ShurSave Market.
Carnival rides are being provided by Carnival Trowver of Gibsonton, Florida.

An Arts and Crafts Show is set for Saturday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tidioute Firehall.

A Kids Derby will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for children ages 3 to 10 in Tidioute Creek at Benner Park
Each child who registers for this contest will be eligible for a chance on a bicycle.
This Derby is free of charge and the children must be accompanied by an adult.
The creek will be stocked with trout from Farnsworth Fish Hatchery provided by the Tidioute Lions Club in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State Championship Fishing Tournament Committee.
The final preparations are in the works for the 54th Annual Pennsylvania State Championship Fishing Tournament that comes to life on Thursday, Sept. 26 with the carnival rides and concessions opening at 6 p.m
Last minute registrations for the fishing contest are still being accepted and if need be you can register on Saturday, Sept. 28.
Parade registrations are still coming in and a great parade is in order for the entire family. With a theme of "Salute to Volunteers" please remember to thank someone you know who is a dedicated volunteer.

Junior Champion Angler
A Junior Champion Angler for those ages 9 through 15, will be crowned on Saturday evening, Sept. 28 at 9 p.m.
The winner will receive a trophy and prizes. A $50 Bond donated by Jim and Betty Marshall. The trophies are donated by the George Jones Memorial Walleye Tournament committee and the Jones family.
Once again the skies will light up over Tidioute on Saturday night Sept. 28 at 9:45 p.m.
There will be plenty of fireworks to help celebrate the Fishing tournament thanks to Tidioute Trading Post and Servicemen's Home Corporation, this year's sponsors of the fireworks.
Who will be the 2013 Champion Angler? Join the residents of Tidioute for a four-day weekend of fun and festivities and find out who the Champion Angler will be.
Several fishermen have already sent in their registration form for the 2013 Pennsylvania State Championship Fishing Tournament.
Fishing will begin at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 until 8 p.m. Sept. 28 Scales close at 8 p.m. Sharp.
Sunday finalist will fish with a referee starting at 5 a.m. and they must be in to the scales by 2 p.m. with no exceptions.
Crowning of the Champion Angler will be Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
All fish must be brought to the weigh in station alive in a water filled container. There will be a 4 ounce penalty for each dead fish. Qualifying will be in a single category only. Only one weigh in per day. All fish will be returned to the river following weigh in.
Grand Prize drawing
Pennsylvania State Championship Fishing Tournament committee members are selling chances on a 42 inch flat screen TV as the first place prize and $250 in cash for second prize.
Tickets are only $1 each, tickets are on sale now at Tidioute Trading Post, Linda Scott's, Buccardo's Restaurant. Winner need not be present, also on the tournament grounds from Thursday until Sunday at which time the drawing will take place.
Miss Tidioute winners
Saturday, Sept. 21 was the Miss Tidioute Pageant and the Teen Miss.
Contestants in the Miss Tidioute Pageant were Stephanie Burris, daughter of Rob and Mary Jane Burris; Desiree McChesney daughter of Vicki Wimer and Jon McChesney; Jessica Riel daughter of Chuck and Terrie Riel and Jordan Wolford daughter of James Wolford and Linda Lanager.
Winner and the new Miss Tidioute 2013 is Desiree McChesney. Desiree also won the Best Essay and Miss Congeniality. Jordan Wolford won the People's Choice Award.
Contestants in the Teen Miss Pageant were Casey Byers daughter of Tom and Lisa Byers; Lindsey Crane daughter of Robert Crane and Stacy Crane; Kylee Harmon daughter of Angela Harmon and Allexa Morgan daughter of Chris and Monica Morgan.
Winner and the new Teen Miss Tidioute is Allexa Morgan. Allexa also won Best Essay, Miss Congeniality and People's Choice.

Packages for troops
Once again it is time to send those well deserved boxes of items from home to our troops who are serving overseas.

The 17th Annual George Jones Memorial Walleye Tournament will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12.
This is a two man team with a six fish limit per team.
Boundaries are from Kinzua Dam all the way down to President. Hours are from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and you must be into the scales by 5 p.m.
Weigh- in will be at the Tidioute Boat Launch
All fish must be brought in to weigh-in in water filled containers as this is a "Catch and Release" tournament. No dead fish will be accepted at the weigh-in.
All fish brought to the weigh-in station become the property of the tournament and will be returned to he river after they are weighed.

There will be an Adult Prom on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 9 p.m. to midnight at the Tidioute Firehall for those age 18 and older.
Come to the "Dress For Your Decade"Adult Prom complete with music provided by the Brown Boyz.
There will be a Prom King and Queen crowned, refreshments, prom pictures will be taken.
Cost is $10 per person. This is a BYOB event.
