Maplewood scored first on Friday, but that was before Eisenhower quarterback Rob Wilston started heating up. When all was said and done, Wilston had thrown for 229 yards and four touchdowns and added another 99 yards rushing, and the Knights improved to 1-1 with a 33-6 Region 2 win. On Thursday, while we were taking Wilston's photo for Times Observer Male Athlete of the Week, sponsored by McDonald's, Ike coach Jim Penley was giving Wilston a little good-natured ribbing about the individual accolade. Where credit is due, maybe Wilston will share an Extra Value Meal with Tre Frank, Alex Johnson and Jarrett Johnson, who had receiving touchdowns, and, well, maybe the whole offensive line. Eisenhower is hungry.
