Public Drunkenness, Defiant Trespasser and Disorderly Conduct. Warren County Sheriff's Deputies with Assistance from the U.S. Forest Service arrested Christopher Benek, 29, Kane, for defiant trespass, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Benek was observed under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody after he became disorderly. Benek was arraigned before Magisterial Judge Cynthia Lindemuth and incarcerated in the Warren County Prison in lieu if $10,000 bail.
DUI. Warren-based state police stopped Mark A Huwalt, 40, Castle Shannon for a traffic violation on Sept. 1, on Route 62, Limestone Twp. Upon contact with Huwalt, it was suspected that he was under the influence of alcohol. Huwalt was taken into custody and submitted to testing according to police. Charges are to be filed at a later date in front of District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth in Youngsville.
DUI. Warren-based state police said on Aug. 31, Kimberly Karpiak-Cook was stopped at the intersection of Kelly Hill Rd. and Red House Hill Rd. for committing several traffic violations. After an investigation it was determined that Karpiak-Cook was under the influence and subsequently arrested for DUI, according to police.
Domestic/Harassment. Corry-based state police said on Sept. 1, on Route 959 in Columbus, a known male suspect subjected a known female to physical contact by unknown means . The incident is still under investigation.
