Retirees to lunch
Warren County Courthouse retirees will meet for lunch at Cable Hollow Golf Course on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 12:30 p.m. Those who wish to carpool should be at the north entrance to Big Lots parking lot by noon.
Warren Garden Club will join Hill and Dale Garden Club of Sugar Grove Thursday, Aug. 15, for a picnic to be held at the Sugar Grove Town Park with visiting at 11:30 a.m. and a catered lunch at noon. A program will be presented by Greg Wilson, historian and author, on the history of the park. The committee will include Mary Lou VanDorn, chairperson, and Becky Brown, Pam McCarthy, Carol Eckert and Louise Morgan. Devotions will be led by Yvonne Lee.
Freedom Walk planned
Sugar Grove will participate in the nationwide America Supports You Freedom Walk on Sept. 11 to remember 9-11 victims and honor military past and present who protect American's freedom. The local event will be sponsored by AMVETS (American Veterans) and AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary and will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Sugar Grove Town Park. The public is encouraged to participate in this less than two-mile walk. This is the 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks against the United States, the tragic events at the Pentagon, the twin towers in New York City, and at Shanksville. The purpose of the America Supports you Freedom Walk is to establish a national tradition to reflect on the lives lost on September 11, renew our commitment to freedom and the values of our country and to honor our veterans, past and present.
Class to lunch
Warren High School Class of 1944 will have lunch Thursday, Aug. 15, at the Eagles Club, Pennsylvania Ave. E., Warren, with a get-together at 11:30 a.m. and lunch at noon. Spouses and significant others are welcome.

Warren High School Class of 1957 will have lunch at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Docksiders, Rt. 59 near Kinzua Dam.
